五指毛桃味辛甘、性平、微温，其功能：具有益气补虚、行气解郁、壮筋活络、健脾化湿、止咳化痰等功效。MaoTao roots can used for strengthen lung and bone function.
食用时先取小部分用清水洗净，用冷水再浸十五分钟即可以与猪排骨、鸽子等煲汤，用小火慢煲，时间越长越好，使用明火，效果更佳，煲出的汤有椰奶香味。
It can be used to cook with chicken or pork for soup.
